52 Things

I did this because I'm tired of talking about illness and serious things, and I saw this at Tulip's blog and thought why not?  So here is more than you ever wanted to know about me...  Join in if you'd like - let me know that you got it here, and I'll link to you! 

1. FIRST NAME? Tracy

2. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? Nope.  Not my first name, at least.  My middle name is after my aunt.

3. WHEN DID YOU LAST CRY? Today.  I've been doing a lot of crying lately.

4. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? Nope.  I have very poor handwriting, unless I concentrate very very very hard.  And then I can't write very fast.  So I prefer to type. 

5. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCHMEAT? I'm not fond of lunch meat. 

6. KIDS? I answer this in different ways sometimes.  But today I'll stick with the standard answer - 2 boys, 1 girl.  (Though sometimes I remember that there are a few in heaven.  A few.  Yeah, right.  Okay, a lot.  Heavy sigh.)

7. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? Yes.   I think so.  Seriously, I would. 

8. DO YOU HAVE A JOURNAL? Yes.  I have this blog, and I also have a written journal.  You thought that I tell you EVERYTHING?  Sorry.

9. DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT? Not all that often.  Occasionally.

10. DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS? Yes.  Unfortunately.  They are a pain in the neck sometimes.  (okay....  maybe I use sarcasm more than occasionally).

11. WOULD YOU BUNGEE JUMP? Not a snowball's chance.  No.  I hate heights. 

12. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL? I only get it once a year - but it's Froot Loops.  Okay, sue me, I know it's colored sugar but it's FROOT LOOPS.  I love them.  I love them.  I lovvvvvvve them.

13. DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF? Depends on the shoes.  If they have laces, sometimes.

14. DO YOU THINK YOU ARE STRONG? No.  Only when I let God help me be strong.  Then is it me or Him?  Him.  So, the answer stands at no. 

15. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM? I don't know the exact name or if they still make it, but it is Edy's Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie Ice Cream.  Yum.  Excuse me, I'm going to go break into my girl scout cookies.  I have three boxes of Thin Mints and I have had them for a long time already, and I have only opened one box.  Aren't you proud of me?  Oh, yeah, back to the list.

16. SHOE SIZE? 6.5 - 7.  Depends on the shoe.

17. RED OR PINK? Red. 

18. WHAT IS THE LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOURSELF? My weight.

19. WHO DO YOU MISS THE MOST? My Mom and my best friend.  Botoh up in the North. 

20. DO YOU WANT EVERYONE TO SEND THIS BACK TO YOU? I'd love anyone who wants to do this to put it up and mention it in the comments.

21. WHAT COLOR PANTS AND SHOES YOU ARE WEARING? Right now?  Orange pajama pants with pink and red hearts.  Barefoot.  I don't wear shoes if I can help it.

22. LAST THING YOU ATE? Grilled ham and cheese sandwich and water.

23. WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW? The LSU-UCLA game and the kids playing.

24. IF YOU WERE A CRAYON, WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU BE? Indigo. 

25. FAVORITE SMELL? Vanilla.

26. WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU TALKED TO ON THE PHONE? My husband. 

27. FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE? Eyes.

28. DO YOU LIKE THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS TO YOU? As far as I know, I like Tulip.  Though I don't really know her that well, except in bloglandia. 

29. FAVORITE DRINK? Iced tea.

30. FAVORITE SPORT? Depends.  Anything my kids are doing for sure, but on TV?  Football. 

31. HAIR COLOR? Blondish-brown, with white in the front.

32. EYE COLOR? Blue.

33. DO YOU WEAR CONTACTS? No.

34. FAVORITE FOOD? Fried potatoes.

35. SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDING? Happy ending.

36. LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED? Pride and Prejudice (on DVD)

37. WHAT COLOR SHIRT ARE YOU WEARING? Bright pink.  It goes with the pajama pants.

38. SUMMER OR WINTER? summer

39. HUGS OR KISSES? Both.

40. FAVORITE DESSERT? Cheesecake.

41. WHO IS MOST LIKELY TO RESPOND? who knows?

42. LEAST LIKELY TO RESPOND? who knows?

43. WHAT BOOKS ARE YOU READING? At this moment, I am re-reading three books, and reading one. I am re-reading Executive Orders by Tom Clancy, The Rescuer by Dee Henderson, and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.  Gotta see if that DVD version is at all like the real thing... nope.  Not as well as the A&E version at least.  And oh, the new book is called "So you're about to be a teenager" and I am reading it before giving it to my now 12 1/2 year old son.  It's by Dennis and Barbara Rainey with two of their kids.

44. WHAT'S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD? Don't have one.  I have an optical mouse which does fine on our desk without one.

45. WHAT DID YOU WATCH LAST NIGHT ON TV? I didn't. 

46. FAVORITE SOUNDS? Piano music.

47. ROLLING STONE OR BEATLES? Beatles.  Grew up with their records in the house.  Mostly 45s that my mother owned. 

48. THE FURTHEST YOU BEEN FROM HOME? Yellowstone.

49. DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL TALENT? I do pretty well at baking.

50. WHEN AND WHERE WERE YOU BORN? July, Illinois.

51. WHAT CONDITION ARE YOUR HANDS AND FEET IN? Feet, not great just now, though my toenails look pretty good from the pedicure I gave myself yesterday.  Hands are soft, but nails... not so pretty.  Rats.

52. WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE AUTHOR? I have to pick ONE?  I can't do this.  Just can't.  Sorry.

So... did you learn anything new about me?  Or not?  It was diverting at least - which was a welcome change right now.  I have a couple of more serious posts in draft form and hopefully I'll get one of them up tomorrow or Monday.  I'm still napping a lot, which is nice.  K isn't letting me do any of the housework - I can live with that ;-).
