If you read me through a feedreader, you might want to click through and look at my purty new blog design. I have a new picture of the Robster up for my "author profile picture". I wasn't going to switch designs, but I got tired of the old one, and I wanted to change something. I was looking at the available themes and I loved this one, so there you go.

I love butterflies. I have been looking for a cross stitch design with butterflies to do for my bedroom, but I haven't been able to find a design I like. I might have to design one myself. Which is a lot of work for me. I'm not spatial like that. I can look at a room and tell you which chair will fit where, rearrange cabinet space... but cross stitch design? Not so good.

I got the results of the MRI. Good news: no big problems. Bad news: Still hurting. The doctor says it's a "chronic sprain" at this point, and offered to refer me to the orthopedic doctor. I think I'll take him up on that. I need to get this better. I need to lose weight. I need to be able to run after R.

R has figured out how to unlock the door. He unlocked the door to the garage and went outside. I heard the door shutting and raced after him. I had to get the keys and do the deadbolt on that door. The only door to my house that is not deadbolted is the front door, but it has a chain up high that everyone else in the house can reach. At least I don't think R can reach it.

He will eventually. I am not sure what I will do. Hopefully he will learn by then how to play outside without me. I hope. He's figured out how to reach other things. I put the stepstool in the pantry and keep finding it in front of the refrigerator. He puts it there so he can reach things on high shelves inside the refrigerator. Yikes. I may have to get a lock for the refrigerator.

I sound so controlling here. But he HAS to learn to ask for things verbally. If he can just get them himself, what is the motivation to talk to us? Sigh.

I found out today that our BCBA therapist is leaving the center. There is a second therapist and he's taking everything over. I'm sure that he's good, but it will be hard to switch. I don't do well with changes at first. I always adjust, but I hate having to change.
I'm really looking forward to the weekend.
Here's more quick takes!
We have an escape artist, too. We just have to use the dead bolt. I have heavy-duty magnet hooks we hang on the doors, up high of course, and keep a key there. We also have the asking issue. My guy is 3.5. Fun, fun age! :) (no, really, it's a blast, but you know, there are those little issues that go along with it...)
Wishing you a great weekend!

I agree about the blog design! How big did you want the cross-stitch butterfly to be? I have some books of charts (from Dover books) and I think there are some butterflies in there somewhere. Now if I can just find them before we're in the midst of a move.....

It's a sad day when they learn to manipulate the locks. At one point, I had a bicycle lock on the fridge, looped through the doors because a combo lock was the only one my oldest couldn't open!
