Still not very talkative. Obviously, since it's been 10 days since I last updated this blog. I've been talking a lot with God. At Him at least. I need to do more listening.

Also, I have been sick. The headache that lasted two days was the worst of it. It would NOT end. I was about ready to call the doctor, and then it went away. Ahhhhh. Sometimes the absence of pain is so incredible.

When I was pregnant with Mac, I had a kidney condition that was incredibly painful. Basically the ureter from my right kidney was being compressed, so the kidney would fill and it was horrid. Then it would get its act together and empty - and the pain would go away. The pain was cyclic, coming gradually then going away again - repeating every few days. I was on tylenol with codeine from 6 months gestation on - just to tolerate the pain and keep growing the baby, who was doing fine. Near the end, the T3 wasn't doing it anymore. I went in at 36 weeks and begged to be induced right away because I couldn't tolerate the pain anymore. Instead, he had me try taking Lorcet Plus. The first time I took it, I was so amazed... the pain was gone. It was only then that I realized that the times I thought the pain had gone away - it had just subsided to a manageable level. Of course, Lorcet Plus isn't exactly a baby-friendly painkiller, and it was a scary couple of weeks, trying to keep myself painfree, but keeping the baby kicking too, which prevented me from freaking out every time he was quiet. I was very happy when he arrived. No more pain. (And I got a baby too! wow!)

And now you know I truly have nothing to write about today, since I'm writing about a pregnancy complication I had 16 years ago.

Oh, the kitten went to the vet this week. We had him neutered of course. No little Caspians ever - which is fine with me. He is doing well.
I set up a surgery appointment for Pantera (the 16 year old cat). He has a lump. We're going to have it removed and biopsied. Hoping for something benign. He's doing well overall, but it's in his jawline, and will be a problem if we don't have it taken care of. Even if it's something bad, it should give him another year. I'm a bit worried about having it done, but the alternative is to let it be a problem. I'm not going to have him put to sleep when he's still eating, taking care of business, and playful!

I had spaghetti for breakfast. We had leftover sauce, so I cooked noodles this morning, and sent it for lunch for R. There was enough left for my lunch, but it looked so good, I ate it for breakfast. I guess I'll have cereal for lunch.

It's a busy weekend for 3/5 of the Zoo. R and I have nothing to do all weekend so we'll play and watch the Olympics. Everyone else is heading in various directions, with Mac gone to a speech tourney, Nina gone to sing for judges at solo festival somewhere today, and to Math Counts tomorrow, and K has work days for Scouts. If I can find the energy, there is a ladies' game night at church tonight, which sounds fun, but I'm tired, so we'll see. It would be good to get out and about a bit, though.
