Nina auditioned last Saturday for the advanced choir (also known as performance choir) at the high school. And... she made it! She's thrilled. I am so excited for her! And now we need to get her a passport, because I've heard that the choir is going to Europe in 2011!!! Wait... money... needed...

I can't believe she is going to high school next year. We signed her registration form last night. Looking over the requirements for everything, it is amazing to think that she will be done in 4 short years. Sigh. Wasn't she just born?

We also signed Mac's registration form for his junior year. And I need to get him registered for the ACT soon. And we're talking about colleges more. Yikes.

I need to clean house. But what I WANT to do is to do R's dresser. Hmmm. What to do, what to do...
Duty or fun?
Or I could start my cross stitch...
Or...
Hmmmm. Decisions, decisions. Shall I do A, B, or C?
Of course, the answer is that I am sitting at the computer typing this... which is D: none of the above.

R brought me two strange keys yesterday. They matched each other, had a number on them, and I *think* that they were the safe deposit box keys. I had been looking for them for a while, as I need to put some paperwork back in the box.
I say "matched", "had" and "were" because they have disappeared again. Ugh.

R is in love with keys, because he understands what they are for. We have deadbolts on all of our doors, and leave all but one locked (that one has a chain/bolt thing at the top). He will go to the back door and say "Key! Jump!" wanting us to open the door and take him out to the trampoline. I love taking him out there - he is getting so much better at jumping too.

He just walked up to me and gave me a big kiss. He's home with a bad cold. He was up last night coughing and this morning we made the decision to keep him home. Sneezing, watery eyes, a general look of malaise, and he didn't look great this morning. So, he laid around for a while, but right now he is racing around doing different things. Yeah, he's sick all right. *I* need sleep more than he does!
But isn't that the way it always is?
Guess I'd better be more productive now - for more quick takes, see Jen's place.
Yay Nina! And you will have to do some research about the timing, because passports (and prices) are different for over/under 16, not 18. We live in a border city, so this is always up front here.
