2013. Whoa. Doesn't that seem all.. futuristic and everything. I don't know, maybe it's because we spent 2012 with all the END OF THE WORLD THE MAYANS SAY AND WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!! stuff going on, and now it's 2013, and guess what? The world is continuing. And it's 2013, and next year it will be 2014, and then 2015, 2020, 2030... whoa.
Unless Jesus returns. Then the world will change immensely. But meanwhile... life goes on.

I started Biggest Blogging Loser on Monday. I stopped drinking diet soda right after we got back from Christmas and did pretty well with that transition. I started making sure I didn't eat too much each day on Monday. That has been going okay too. I've been surprised that I am not more tempted to overeat. I REALLY want to lose weight this time. That's all the winning I need. Because when I estimate how long it will take to lose the weight, I have between a year and 16 months of being careful and working hard at it. That's a long/short time, depends on how I look at it.

Then I added exercise yesterday. 45 minutes of being the slowest person in the gym on a treadmill. (But as others have said - I was IN the gym! Good for me!) It was raining (for 20. Straight. Hours. It was a longgg time.), so I used my membership at the university center. And K went with me, which was very nice. He ran for about 30 minutes... while I walked... slowly.
And I'm so sore today.

Of course, I might be partially sore because I'm sick.
My head hurts. Pounding actually. Yes, I took medicine. It's not working.
My throat is sore.
And I really truly am NOT interested in eating. Anything. At all.
I think I will go back to bed soon. Not that I've been up all that long. I helped get the kids out the door and then I went back to sleep - instantly. Slept at least 4 more hours. I was hoping it would help.

I guess I'll lose more weight than I planned today. I do need to go try to drink some more water though. I want 7-up. It's my traditional "I'm sick and I don't feel good" drink. Though I have had Sprite Zero for the past several years since I don't drink sugar in sodas anymore. but I really can't have either. No diet sugar either for me - I figured out long ago that they sabotage weight loss for me.

I laid down again and now it's almost 7 p.m. Amazing how fast a day goes by when you get to sleep half of it.

One more quick take to go. I guess I'll tell you about the two throw blankets I got for Christmas. K gave me a nice dark green and dark blue one, and my parents bought me a Green Bay Packers one. Yep, I'm a Packers fan, since my earliest memories of sitting with my dad watching football games. I'll be wrapped in it tomorrow evening as I watch the game!

I love that you realize it doesn't matter how slow you were on the treadmill, you were on it and moving. I used to be so embarrassed until I realized I'm still doing something, which is always better than nothing :)
