Who is Tracy? First of all, I am a follower of Christ. That is the central part of my identity, the rock on whom I depend, the lifeline that I cling to during my days. I am also a wife. I’ve been married for two decades to my beloved husband, K. The saying goes: “First comes love, then comes marriage…”, but the baby carriage did not arrive easily. As a survivor of infertility (PCOS and recurrent loss history), I will always be grateful for my three children.

When I first started writing on this blog in 2005, I didn’t know exactly what I would end up saying. I started with my infertility history, but moved on to other topics very quickly. Now I find myself writing often on autism, with the diagnosis of our youngest child Robbie in February 2008. I also talk about our older two children, referred to as "Mac" and "Nina" here. I made the decision to call Robbie by his real name in the blog a while ago - if you look through the archives, he has been LP (my Little Prince), R, and even Ryan. He's really Robbie. And I'm really Tracy. But K is obviously not named "K"...

An explanation of the title of this blog: It comes from the verses that I continue to reflect on over and over again, ever since I trusted in Christ as my Lord - Phillippians 4:4-14. The title comes from Phil. 4:12 - "I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little." My goal in life is to try to learn this secret, to follow God in all circumstances of my life, from single life to marriage, from barren woman to the happy mother of children. I wish I could say that I've completely arrived, but it's a work in progress - but one that is worthy to strive for.
